Proposal Toby Levine
I would like to research and read Roald Dahl for my American author project. I believe he added to children’s stories around the world. He is primarily considered a British author although he lived in the United States for thirty years. I believe he would be interesting because his spectrum of writing. He has written murder mysteries, adult stories and children books. I am interested in his dark twisted side that is rarely seen. He also branched out in screenplays but his only known movie is one of the James bond series. He is most famous for Charlie and the chocolate factory which has been made into a movie twice. Much of the childhood classics of our day are in the style of Dahl or Seuss.

"Snozzcumbers be tasting of the most dreadfilius things"

I like this passage because it shows the authors vocabulary. He likes to make up words to add humor and absurdity to the scene. This is a distinctive trait in childrens authors. Dr.Suess also did this for his books.

Finished the BFG Today
I was thinking I might analyze the construction of amazing words such as the ones in my quote.
Last pages consisted of trapping the giants and making a dream for the king of england.
